I’ve backed very group game as a 3-3. One comes in I’m up , 2 come in then nice profit.

All euros have a lot of 3-2s and 3-3s in the groups plus it makes every game a little bit interesting.

France to win, no surprise package, England might not make it out of the group.

goose - It's still known as EURO 2020, maybe a mo change it?

Winner? Portugal

Surprise pack? Scotland

Top scorer? Mbappe

Player of the tournament? Oh come on...No idea

How far will England go? Hard to say, but will plump for QF exit.

Beat me to it manuel.!

Either way, let’s hope England win it, to give the country a much needed boost and sense of pride again.

''A two-week delay to the planned easing of restrictions in England on June 21 is reportedly being considered after the number of people in the country with Covid-19 rose by 75 per cent''

This will mean no crowds at any games except maybe the semi's and final.

And yet more than half of all adults have been double vaccinated and nearly all have been single vaccinated. Where are these hosts for this virus?

Re: Official EURO 21 thread
Won’t be the same without crowds.
There’s no official England song that I’ve seen? Why not? The build up all seems a bit flat.

Let’s have some positivity eh??

Re: Official EURO 21 thread
England wins after a massive COVID breaches means Antonio (ending his Jamaica speculation) gets an emergency call up and scores the winning goal. This gives him a hat trick against Manuel Neuer on the day.

The depleted squad leaves Rice playing centre back and captain. And Jesse Lingard (recently sign permanently for West Ham) was influential running the midfield in a surprisingly narrow 442.

goose - we haven't had a song since 2006, I don't think.

The peak being 2002, of course.

Re: Official EURO 21 thread
Seems typical that England gets to host the tournament semi and final at a time when home advantage gets decimated by COVID limits.

Having said that and despite what people say on here this England squad is more than capable of going all the way and fuckups by Southgate is the only way I can see us not making the semis at least.

Don't know why France are favourites. Wouldn't surprise me if they went out early in a petulant display of mardiness, like PSG. Belgium's squad looks full of Palace and Leicester players. Bit of a dark horse but I fancy Italy to do better than expected.

Sorry to piss on your parade but there hasn't been a 3-3 in the Euro finals for at least 12 years.

horse faced gareth on the news earlier talking about henderson having another scan on his injury, and hoping maguire will eventually be ready. how can you go in to a tournament with players clearly not ready?

Unless they were close, I don't think he'd have risked it if it had only been the normal 23 man squad.

Re: Official EURO 21 thread
To be fair, with a 26-man squad, you can afford to take a couple of gambles. Plus I think the squad can be changed up to the first game.

Re: Official EURO 21 thread
Be interesting to see how Southgate comes out of the competition. His own personal bar is set high in the sense that he got to a semi final in his only major competition as a national manager. Will anything less this time around deem him as a failure?
